Clear storm damage from Wendy's garden in Ballarat

Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Wendy's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 77 and I have lived in this house in Ballarat for 24 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall. The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. Thank you so much.

  • Hope it all works out, Wendy. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best!

    • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Red Deer so I could bring a meal. Take care

      • Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up.
