I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Fort Worth for 41 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall. The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

    • Keep going. Get well soon. After 16 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless

      • Thanks for sharing this, Teresa. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 22 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Fort Worth

        • Best of luck. Wishing Teresa a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Love from Latina!

          • Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Oakland donated after I showed her your page
