Clear storm damage from Sumaiya's garden in Mumbai
Sumaiya, 73, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 73 and I have lived in this house in Mumbai for 24 years. After the storm in December, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you so much.

Keep going. Wishing Sumaiya a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
you're not alone, Sumaiya. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Mumbai.
Sending good thoughts, Sumaiya. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day!
