Clear storm damage from Sarah's garden in Bakersfield
Garden rescue day in Bakersfield: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Bakersfield for 28 years. After the storm in April, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I hope life is good to you.

Best of luck, Sarah. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Take care.
You're not alone. Get well soon. After 28 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
