Clear storm damage from Jéssica's garden in Maringá
Jéssica, 84, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 84 and I have lived in this house in Maringá for 46 years. After the storm in December, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Rooting for you, Jéssica. Your post was clear and honest. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Recife this morning.

Hope it all works out, Jéssica. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together. Blessings.
Stay strong, Jéssica. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Maringá.
