Clear storm damage from Jasper's garden in Amsterdam
Jasper, 91, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 91 and I have lived in this house in Amsterdam for 47 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you for reading my story.

Thanks for sharing this, Jasper. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Guarulhos.
Hope things get better soon, Jasper. Shared it with a few friends.
Rooting for you, Jasper. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Rockford but we're thinking of you.
