Clear storm damage from Adaeze's garden in Port Harcourt

Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Adaeze's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 76 and I have lived in this house in Port Harcourt for 39 years. After the storm in November, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement. The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. Thank you for reading my story.

  • it takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Paris donated after I showed her your page. Love from Paris.

    • Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Bengaluru

      • Stay strong. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We're a small family in Peoria but we're thinking of you.

        • Thinking of you, Adaeze. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 29 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything

          • Thanks for sharing this. Wishing Adaeze a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
