My son, Lucas, is 11 and in Year 10. Lucas loves school but chemistry has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The board exam is in November. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Duque de Caxias or online, for about sixteen weeks. Lucas is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in chemistry, you could change the course of Lucas's year. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • thanks for sharing this. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.

    • Sending good thoughts. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Nagpur.
