Chebet is four months into recovery and looking for a guide
A weekly call with someone who has been through it - that's the whole ask.

I'm four months into recovery from alcohol dependence. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

hope things get better soon, Chebet. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side.
Sending love. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Kasarani!
You're not alone, Chebet. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Saket
Sending strength, Chebet. Hope the doctors have good news. Blessings!
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family, Chebet. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. Love from Alexandria.
