Charmaine was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November. The oncology team at San Fernando University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Charmaine is 41, worked as a nurse until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Fernando University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,650 goes: • Transport to San Fernando University Hospital: $115 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050 • Household costs while unable to work: $310 • Scans and lab work: $175 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
