I'm Charles, 19, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until July. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone, Charles. Your post was clear and honest!
Hope it all works out, Charles. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Lagos.
Your post was clear and honest. After 30 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Tallahassee
Sending strength. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Bakersfield.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
