Cedar Primary School needs a community fridge - Adrian's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $4,100 for materials.
Anywhere in the world3,155 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,200, and the remaining cost is $4,100.
It will serve about 497 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,100 goes:
• Materials: $3,050
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $440
If you're reading this, thank you.

Hope it all works out, Adrian. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Adrian
Materials is $3,050 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for asking.
