I'm Cecilia, 19, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Thank you so much.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Bronx but we're thinking of you. All the best!
As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. After 28 years in construction I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best.
Praying for you, Cecilia. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. All the best
best of luck, Cecilia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Pasig.
Thanks for sharing this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Lagos this morning. God bless
