Caterina lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Padua Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,500.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Caterina could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $4,100
• Fitting and training sessions: $105
• Delivery and set-up: $115
• First-year servicing plan: $180
