Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Walker
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Winnipeg.
π¨π¦ Manitoba, Canada553 views
Walker has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Walker can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Walker's family will cook lunch for the team.

Sending strength. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope May is when things finally get easier
Praying for you, Declan. Wishing Walker a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Take care
