Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Victor
Victor uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇳🇬 Oyo, Nigeria1,249 views
Victor has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Victor can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Victor's family will cook lunch for the team.

stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Ibadan
Hope it all works out, Rotimi. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Saint Petersburg.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Arlington.
You're not alone, Rotimi. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Love from Sydney.
