Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Susana

Susana uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Susana has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Susana can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Susana's family will cook lunch for the team. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Rodrigo. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Riverside.

    • Good luck. Hope the doctors have good news. Please keep us posted. All the best

      • Thinking of you, Rodrigo. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 30 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

        • Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Toronto but we're thinking of you.

          • Good luck, Rodrigo. Your post was clear and honest. Blessings.
