Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Shrijana
Shrijana uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Shrijana has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Shrijana can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Shrijana's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

stay strong, Sushma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My husband and I read this together. Love from Cardiff
Hope the doctors have good news. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Kathmandu.
