Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Ruth
Help Ruth regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇦🇺 Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia800 views
Ruth has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ruth can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ruth's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

Hope things get better soon, Bennett. This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update.
Best of luck, Bennett. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 9 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
