Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Rosa
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Madrid.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Spain592 views
Rosa has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Rosa can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Rosa's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

Get well soon. Thinking of Madrid.
So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust!
