Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Paul
Help Paul regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐ณ๐ฌ Lagos, Nigeria227 views
Paul has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Paul can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Paul's family will cook lunch for the team.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

rooting for you, Kunle. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Lagos.
Rooting for you. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
Take care. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Lagos
