Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Nicholas
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Lethbridge.
🇨🇦 Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada244 views
Nicholas has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Nicholas can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Nicholas's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
Keep going, Autumn. I hope things turn around soon. All the best.
