Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Mateus
Help Mateus regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇧🇷 Ceará, Brazil1,514 views
Mateus has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Mateus can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Mateus's family will cook lunch for the team.

good luck. Looking forward to the next update. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless
Best of luck, Luís. Hope the doctors have good news. Blessings.
Keep going. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Magelang
Hope things get better soon, Luís. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best
Sending strength, Luís. Hope the doctors have good news. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best!
Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Lagos but we're thinking of you. All the best
so sorry you're going through this, Luís. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Greetings from Heliopolis.
Rooting for you, Luís. Shared this with my family. It's not much but it's yours.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 14 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Thinking of Juazeiro do Norte
