Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Magdalena
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in London.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom776 views
Magdalena has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Magdalena can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Magdalena's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thanks for being kind about this.

I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Surat

Hang in there. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
