Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Leah
Help Leah regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 California, United States650 views
Leah has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Leah can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Leah's family will cook lunch for the team.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

- one weekend
- format
