Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Laxman
Laxman uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇳🇵 Lumbini, Nepal597 views
Laxman has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Laxman can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Laxman's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

wishing Laxman a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.
