Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Joshua

Help Joshua regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Joshua has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Joshua can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Joshua's family will cook lunch for the team. I hope life is good to you.

Hope it all works out, Mercy. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless

                  • Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Wish I lived closer to Phoenix so I could bring a meal!

                    • Wishing you the best. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 16 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Bacoor

                      • Sending good thoughts, Mercy. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
