Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Ivy
Help Ivy regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇬🇧 Manchester, England, United Kingdom1,172 views
Ivy has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ivy can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ivy's family will cook lunch for the team.

stay strong, Theodore. Wishing Ivy a smooth procedure and a full recovery. All the best.
Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
Good luck, Theodore. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care
Sending strength, Theodore. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
hang in there. Hope the doctors have good news. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
