Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Iryna
Iryna uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇺🇦 Kyiv, Ukraine591 views
Iryna has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Iryna can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Iryna's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

You're not alone, Maxim. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hang in there, Maxim. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Cape Coast
Good luck, Maxim. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours. Blessings.
Sending strength, Maxim. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest
