Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Gizem
Gizem uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇹🇷 Gaziantep, Türkiye255 views
Gizem has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Gizem can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Gizem's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. Greetings from Bonny.
Sending good thoughts, Melek. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings!

Take care, Melek. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
