Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Gianna
Help Gianna regain independence: a simple ramp build.
馃嚭馃嚫 Ohio, United StatesPosted Oct 1, 2026897 views
Gianna has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Gianna can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Gianna's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you, Jack. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 16 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from S茫o Paulo.
This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!
