Ganesh has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ganesh can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ganesh's family will cook lunch for the team. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Wishing you the best, Bhavani. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Medan this morning. Love from Medan

    • Get well soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Lagos.

      • You're not alone. Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. All the best.

        • Good luck, Bhavani. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
