Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Esi
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Ho.
🇬🇭 Volta, Ghana853 views
Esi has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Esi can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Esi's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon, Mabel. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Berlin.
a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Volta. I'll ask around and let you know!
