Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Elise

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Paris.

Elise has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Elise can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Elise's family will cook lunch for the team. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best

    • So sorry you're going through this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My neighbor in Quezon City donated after I showed her your page.

      • Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Nashik.
