Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Eleanor
Help Eleanor regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 California, United States163 views
Eleanor has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Eleanor can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Eleanor's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

Thanks for sharing this, Hazel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
Best of luck, Hazel. Hope this works out for you. Blessings.
Sending strength, Hazel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
