Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Daniela
Help Daniela regain independence: a simple ramp build.
馃嚥馃嚱 Ciudad de M茅xico, Mexico448 views
Daniela has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Daniela can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Daniela's family will cook lunch for the team.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- one weekend
- format
- In person in Iztapalapa
- skills
