Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Corazon
Corazon uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇵🇭 Cebu, Philippines491 views
Corazon has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Corazon can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Corazon's family will cook lunch for the team.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

sending strength, Cecilia. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Los Angeles.
Thinking of you and your family, Cecilia. Wishing Corazon a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Cebu City.
