Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Chloé
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Nice.
🇫🇷 Nice, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France1,094 views
Chloé has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Chloé can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Chloé's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you and your family. Wishing Chloé a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

Get well soon. After 22 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
