Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Beatrice
Help Beatrice regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇬🇭 Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana560 views
Beatrice has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Beatrice can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Beatrice's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
