Ayşe has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ayşe can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ayşe's family will cook lunch for the team. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Stay strong, Selim. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope March is when things finally get easier

    • Keep going, Selim. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

      • Good luck, Selim. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!

        • Take care, Selim. Get well soon. My husband and I read this together.
