Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Arif
Arif uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇧🇩 Bogra, Rajshahi, Bangladesh935 views
Arif has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Arif can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Arif's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope January is when things finally get easier.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Coventry donated after I showed her your page.
Keep going, Mahin. Hope the doctors have good news
Wishing you peace, Mahin. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Bogra.
