Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Abubakar
Help Abubakar regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇳🇬 Kaduna, Kaduna, Nigeria1,024 views
Abubakar has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Abubakar can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Abubakar's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

stay strong, Temitope. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Thanks for sharing this, Temitope. Shared this with my family. Love from Hanoi.
Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together.
Praying for you. This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update.
