Caroline can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Caroline regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya1,441 views
Caroline has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Caroline can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Caroline's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this, Victor. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Mombasa.
hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Allentown
Sending love, Victor. Hope you get there. All the best!
