Carlo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Chicago Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,750.
The registrar has said Carlo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Carlo has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Carlo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Carlo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Chicago Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

Final term tuition is $1,450 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
