Care for Ryan, 82: help cover a carer and medication in Sydney
Ryan, 82, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,900 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 82. After a diagnosis of dementia Ryan can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ryan desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Ryan worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $2,600
• Medication and prescriptions: $330
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $280
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $690
