Care for Qasim, 78: help cover a carer and medication in Cairo
Qasim, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $850 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 78. After a stroke last March Qasim can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Qasim desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Qasim worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $850 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $600
• Medication and prescriptions: $140
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $40
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $70
