Nirmala, 92, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $450 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 92. After a fall and hip fracture Nirmala can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Nirmala desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Nirmala worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $450 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $320
• Medication and prescriptions: $55
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $30
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. part-time carer (eight months) comes first ($320) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
