Care for Eun-ji, 78: help cover a carer and medication in Daegu
Eun-ji, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,500 for a carer and medicines.
🇰🇷 Daegu, Daegu, South Korea3,665 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 78. After worsening Parkinson's disease Eun-ji can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Eun-ji desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Eun-ji worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $2,650
• Medication and prescriptions: $510
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $120
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $220
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
