Build a wheelchair ramp for Wichai in Chiang Mai
Wichai uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇹🇭 Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand1,355 views
Wichai has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Wichai can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Wichai's family will cook lunch for the team.

So sorry you're going through this, Hathai. Hope this works out for you
Good luck, Hathai. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Sent it to 25 people at work. God bless.
Hope things get better soon, Hathai. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. It's not much but it's yours. Greetings from Rawalpindi
Stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Madrid
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Athens.
