Build a wheelchair ramp for Wayne in Duluth
Help Wayne regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Duluth, Minnesota, United States710 views
Wayne has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Wayne can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Wayne's family will cook lunch for the team.

This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Duluth.
